2025 Academy Awards Limited Edition: Wicked

This Limited Edition Art Print was designed by Matt Needle, the Cardiff-based Illustrator and Designer. Every year, Matt draws inspiration from the Oscars contenders to create a beautiful collection of alternative film art prints. Matt has partnered with reelstore to offer the exclusive rights to 50 Limited Edition A2 prints of each of his 2025 Academy Awards designs. Each print will be delivered with a certificate of authentification with Digital Signature of the artist.

This 'inspired-by' design* is for Wicked, the 2024 musical fantasy film directed by Jon M. Chu, adapting the first act of the acclaimed Broadway musical. The story explores the untold origins of the witches of Oz, focusing on the complex friendship between Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo), a young woman with green skin and innate magical powers, and Glinda (Ariana Grande), a privileged and ambitious peer. Their journey from rivalry to deep friendship unfolds against the backdrop of a richly imagined Oz, setting the stage for the characters' eventual destinies as the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good.

Wicked received 10 nominations at the 97th Academy Awards and won two Oscars: Best Costume Design for Paul Tazewell and Best Production Design for Nathan Crowley and Lee Sandales.
