This is a original vintage A3 poster for Carroll Ballard’s award winning tale 'The Black Stallion' which tells the story of Alec Ramsey, a boy who is shipwrecked on a deserted island with a wild Arabian stallion that he befriends. After being rescued, they are set on entering a race challenging two champion horses. The film is adapted by Melissa Mathison, Jeanne Rosenberg, and William D. Wittliff.

The poster was designed by Júlia Buková, 1979, and features an image of the protagonist Alec surrounded by an illustrated ocean, with the stallion running past in the distance.
