This Limited Edition Art Print for The Banshees of Inisherin was designed by Liam Tooher, a recently graduated emerging designer who won the prestigious Batsford Illustration Prize in 2021. Liam's work has already been recognised commercially and his designs for the likes of the Open House Festival have been featured throughout London. With a love for cinema, Liam decided to illustrate prints for 3 of his favourite films of the year; which we've included as part of our Academy Awards 2023 collection. Liam has partnered with reelstore to offer the exclusive rights to 20 Limited Edition A2 prints of each of his 2022 Academy Awards designs. Each print will be delivered with a certificate of authentification with Digital Signature of the artist.
This design is for The Banshees of Inisherin, the black tragicomedy film directed, written, and co-produced by Martin McDonagh. Set on a remote island off the west coast of Ireland, the film follows lifelong friends Padraic (Colin Farrell) and Colm (Brendan Gleeson), trying to resolve the conflict in their relationship as Colm abruptly decides they shouldn't be friends and Padraic tries to understand why. With some disturbing twists and turns this film is sure to put a smile on your face as well as a grimace. The print beautifully captures the isolated emotion of the film and the picture has been nominated 9 times Academy Awards in 2023.
Printed on Hahnemühle Bamboo, the stock is made of 90% bamboo fibres, for a natural look and environmentally friendly production.
