2026 Academy Awards Limited Edition: Bugonia
This Limited Edition Bugonia movie poster was designed by Matt Needle, the Cardiff-based Illustrator and Designer known for his striking alternative film art prints. Each year, Matt draws inspiration from the Academy Awards nominees to create a distinctive collection of illustrated movie posters celebrating the season’s most talked-about films. Through an exclusive partnership with reelstore, only 50 A2 Limited Edition prints of each design in the 2026 Academy Awards collection will be produced. Every print is supplied with a certificate of authenticity featuring the artist’s digital signature.
This ‘inspired-by’ design* is based on Bugonia, the darkly comic science-fiction film from acclaimed director Yorgos Lanthimos. The story follows a conspiracy-fixated beekeeper who becomes convinced that a powerful technology CEO is secretly an alien intent on destroying humanity. What begins as paranoia spirals into an unsettling exploration of belief, power and the fragile line between truth and delusion.
