This is an original 1976 Polish interpretive poster for David Lean’s Brief Encounter (1945), a landmark of postwar design. Polish School illustrators famously transformed classic films into symbolic, often poetic images. Here the visual abstraction mirrors the film’s emotional vocabulary: stolen moments in train stations, internal battles of duty versus desire, and love that survives only in memory.

Size: A1 (23' x 33')

Condition: Near Mint, Rolled.

This is not a reproduction or reprint. This is an original poster that was meant to be displayed outside a cinema or in a lobby somewhere in the world. Some of these posters are limited runs, signed, stickered or a super rare style. Some carry the scars of being well loved, either way it will look great on your wall.
