Birdman of Alcatraz US Half Sheet

This is a rare and original vintage US Half Sheet is for the American dramatic film, 'Birdman of Alcatraz' released in 1962, that made a household name of convicted murderer Robert Stroud, who held that same name. The film follows the surly convicted murderer held in permanent isolation as redeems himself when he becomes a renowned bird expert.

The poster is designed by the infamous Saul Bass, the prolific film and movie sequence title designer. The design features in the jailbars with our Birdman stood behind them with the cutout shapes, synonymous with Bass design of 3 birds flying through the sky.
