This is an original 1968 Czech A3 poster for Une Femme est Une Femme (A Woman Is a Woman), Jean-Luc Godard’s playful, self-aware take on love, performance, and the American musical. Designed by Josef Vyleťal, the poster transforms the film’s romantic chaos into a distinctly Czech graphic style — surreal, minimalist, and quietly humorous.

Rather than focusing on traditional star imagery, the design uses stylised illustration and abstract composition to reflect the film’s offbeat rhythm and emotional spontaneity. Much like Godard’s film itself, the artwork feels knowingly artificial yet deeply charming, balancing wit, colour, and modernist experimentation in equal measure.
