8½ 1965 Japanese B2 Poster

This is an incredibly rare, original Japanese B2 poster for the first release of Federico Fellini’s towering film accomplishment, 8½, in Japan, in 1965. Featuring the film’s star and frequent collaborator of Fellini, Marcello Mastroianni, as a creatively stuck film director, the poster also brings together the assortment of women he meets over the course of the film. At the bottom of the beautiful design is a reference to the scaffold set of the film’s conclusion, as well as a list in Japanese of the film’s awards since it’s 1963 release.
