Post revolutionary Cuba experienced a huge cultural and creative shift, with some of the countries artists deploying bold visual design to embody the spirit and ideals of the nation. Movie poster art sponsored by the Instituto Cubano del Arte y la Industria Cinematográfica (ICAIC) makes up a huge body of Cuba's posters.
This authorized 2nd edition Cuban handmade silk-screen poster was printed likely in the 1980s. It's for Francois Truffaut's 1968 romantic comedy Stolen Kisses, which is about a young mans adaption to life post discharge from the army as he resumes the relationship with the love of his life. This silk screen was officially printed at the ICAIC (Cuban Film Institute) silk-screen workshop in Havana, Cuba.
