This is an original 1969 German A1 poster for Daisies (Sedmikrásky), Vera Chytilová’s anarchic Czech New Wave masterpiece — a film that turns rebellion into collage, satire into visual poetry, and destruction into performance art.

Like the film itself, the poster feels deliberately unruly. It rejects traditional narrative imagery in favour of something more conceptual and instinctive — mirroring Chytilová’s attack on conformity, excess, and performative femininity. Equal parts pop art, political provocation, and psychedelic experiment, the butterfly design remains one of the most distinctive pieces to emerge from the European art-house era of the 1960s.

Banned shortly after its release in communist Czechoslovakia, Daisies has since become a landmark of feminist and avant-garde cinema, celebrated for its radical editing, absurdist humour, and uncompromising visual language. This scarce German poster reflects that same spirit: graphic, confrontational, and impossible to ignore.

Size: German A1 (23" x 33")

Condition: Near-Mint.

This is not a reproduction or reprint. This is an original poster that was meant to be displayed outside a cinema or in a lobby somewhere in the world. Some of these posters are limited runs, signed, stickered or a super rare style. Some carry the scars of being well loved, either way it will look great on your wall.
